Snow. In mid-March. Seriously nature, you need to take a chill pill and this is coming from someone who loves snow (or at least getting off work and school for it.ha). Unfortunately, I'm getting my Master's degree online so I never get any snow days or delays
I can't believe that I'm more than halfway through my Month of Thrones feature. The next 3 weeks will cover the Baratheons, Targaryens, Arryns an Starks, plus some of my own articles about various themes present in the story. The best part is that as this winds down, the show will start up again which is awesome. I really can't wait for Season 4. I will defintely always try to have interesting things on the site every month that will keep me writing everyday.
I'm really excited because my conventions are coming up in the next couple of months. First up is PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) in Boston and then I have Ice & Fire Con in less than a month which is all about Game of Thrones. I'll probably do recaps of the days that I am there when they all happen so stay tuned. Hopefully I can add some more conventions to this list like Otakon (since it's close) and New York Comic-con (I've only heard great things).
Last week I watched all of True Detective and I loved it! It definitely lived up to the hype. Plus I love a good suspense/thriller/mystery show. I may even try to go back and watched over well-received shows like Breaking Bad or The Walking Dead (I don't like zombies and couldn't get past the pilot episode). I've also been watching Pokemon Season One on Netflix along with a bunch of Let's Plays on YouTube, so I'm keeping myself busy (distracted) enough.
I added two new features to the site (Pop of Culture and Thoughts on...) to keep things fresh and always revolving around my favorite things about pop culture. It should be a pretty easy week since it started with a nice two-hour delay and I don't have work on Friday, so yay!
